Halloween

Three Easy and Unique Halloween Costumes of 2014

October is my favorite month because of all the fall festivities throughout the month, which ultimately lead up to Halloween. This is the one time of year you are able to show off your creativity. Most costume ideas are associated with whatever may be trending for the year. Last year, while roaming through the streets on Halloween night, there were a few costumes that repeatedly caught my eye. Some of which included Miley Cyrus, Breaking Bad's Walter White, and Minions of Despicable Me. This year I've noticed some pretty unique (and funny) Halloween costumes that I thought I should share with you last-minuters.

1. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

I came across this as I was scrolling through Pinterest and couldn't help but consider this for my costume this year. This costume is very simple to do, and would be fun to do with a friend of boyfriend. The only way to get the full effect of this costume is to put in some butt implants of course.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: Let's face it, these two make sexy look effortless.

2. Twin Emoji

Who would've thought that an emoji would make for an awesome Halloween costume. This costume is original and very simple to do! All that would be needed is a black romper, black shoes, a bow and of course, a friend. Be prepared to strike a pose all night!

3. Ninja Turtle

I have seen this costume around stores quite a lot this year, so I'm guessing this will be a pretty popular one of 2014. You can either handcraft this as a Pinterest DIY or go to stores like Hot Topic to buy yourself a ready-made costume.

Fall Fashion

2014 Fall Favorites

Living in Florida, I can tell you how much we Floridians anticipate the crisp fall weather. Although the temperature never drops below 50 in the sunshine state, we still like to bring out the boots and scarves! Fall fashion is my absolute favorite, and each year I look forward to the new trends of the season. As I was browsing through some magazines and scrolling through Pinterest, I've got a pretty good idea as to what is hot for Fall of 2014.

1. Ankle Boots

I was never really a fan of ankle boots until this year. I started spotting them everywhere and the outfits that were being put together with them. The more and more I saw them, the more I fell in love. Below I've left you with some ankle boot inspiration, and here are some affordable faux leather booties for yourself!

2. Winter Fedora

Another favorite of mine this year are the classy winter fedoras that go with just about anything. These hats complete any look and are even good for those bad hair days. They come in several colors, but I adore all the neutrals. You could find some cute and affordable winter fedoras here in all my favorite colors!

3. Infinity Scarves

Scarves make for the best last minute accessory. I think whoever created infinity scarves are genius, because it made putting on a scarf that much easier (not that it was hard in the first place, but you get where I'm coming from). These infinity scarves come in thin to thick, and all different patterns! Here's one I own myself, which I love to pair with solid colors.

Closet Essentials

A Few of My Favorite Things...

Have you ever opened up your closet doors and just stared into the array of chaos, wondering why choosing an outfit becomes the hardest part of your day? I think we've all been there, and most of the time we just end up wearing something we are not even satisfied with! Whether it's dressing for a girls night out or even just another day of school; we can all agree that getting dressed can be quite a time consuming task. At times, I am overwhelmed by the amount of clothes that sit in my closet and gradually collect dust, just because I can't find the right pair of shoes or accessories to go with it. I've learned (the hard way) that it's not necessarily what you have in your closet, but more so the quality of it. For me, my quality items are the ones I put to most use. When it comes down to creating an ideal closet, there a few items that are absolutely essential. It is very easy to build outfits when you already have the basics, so today I'm going to share with you my favorite "closet must-haves."

1. The Perfect Pair of Jeans

Is there such thing as going wrong with a pair of skinny jeans? The answer is no. The good thing about jeans is that they will never go out of style, and they can be as versatile as you would like them to be. Dress them up with a pair of pumps and a sheer button-down for a night out, or slip on your favorite pair of flats with a casual tank for a family brunch.

2. A Little Black Dress

All women should own at least one LBD at all times. Not only does black accentuate the body, it is also easy to build upon. Shoes and accessories become ultimately up to you at this point. I can always count on my little black dress to make me feel beautiful and confident, even on my worst days.

3. A Pair of Classic Converses

As a college student, I can tell you first-hand that comfort comes before anything else. Most college students spend their weekdays going to class, running errands, and cramming study sessions. A classic pair of white converses are affordable, comfortable, and goes with just about anything. The cute and casual street-style is a favorite of mine, and I find myself wearing my converses almost everyday.
